Obituary: E.T. Pybus

E.T. Pybus of 121 N. Delaware, a long-time Wenatchee businessman and resident here for the past 50 years, died Wednesday, after a sudden illness.

Born January 6, 1873, in England, he moved to Iowa with his family as a young man. He married Nellie M. Tucker, July 4, 1900 in Hastings, Minnesota. They made their home in Corwith, Iowa, until coming to Wenatchee in 1911.

Mr. Pybus operated E.T. Pybus Co until his retirement. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and a long-time member of the Wenatchee Rotary Club.

Surviving are his wife, one son Don Pybus, Wenatchee; two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Bond, Pullman, and Mrs. Helen Jordan, Wenatchee; a brother, John Pybus and a sister Nettie (or Nellie) Gray both in England; and five granddaughters.

Jones & Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Services will be conducted in the First Methodist Church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Rev G. Richard Tuttle will officiate. Concluding services and the internment will follow at the Wenatchee Cemetery.
