Run Wenatchee’s “4th of July River Run” is 8am

The 8th-annual River Run on the Fourth will be held Wednesday, July 4, in conjunction with the Wenatchee Independence Day Celebration. The 5K and 10K will start and finish at Pybus Public Market.

Description: The two courses — 5K and 10K — utilize the paved Apple Capital Loop Trail along the Columbia River and feature flat sections, rollers and a few hills. The course is ideal for walkers as well. Participants will enjoy numerous views of the Columbia, the Cascade Mountains and the Wenatchee Foothills.

Start time: 8 a.m. outside Pybus Public Market, 7 N. Worthen St., Wenatchee
Packet pickup: 4 to 6 p.m., July 3, 2018, at Pybus Public Market, 7 N. Worthen St. Wenatchee; and 6:30 to 7:30 a.m., July 4, 2018, at Pybus Public Market, 7 N. Worthen St., Wenatchee.

Runner premiums: The first 600 River Run paid registrants will receive a shirt and a finishers medal.
Awards: The top three male and female finishers in all three distances receive an award.
Timing and results: The race will be timed. Results will be posted on after the race.
