Wenatchee Valley Resident’s Wise to Attend “Firewise” Class

Given the frightening and very damaging wildfires our region has experienbecd in recent years, Wenatchee valley resiendets would be smart to consider atttending the Pybus University class on Tuesday, January 16 from 7pm to 8:15pm. The class — “Reckoning with Risk, Our Wildfire Vulnerability”  — asks this question: It couldn’t happen here, or could it? Wenatchee residents have viewed the destruction of Santa Rosa, California and Fort McMurray, Alberta on TV. While we have been bitten by fire, the concept of large sections of whole towns burning to ashes seems remote, but is it? In fact, we are vulnerable, as are all western cities. This class explores the components that could drive a catastrophic fire in Wenatchee, and what we can do to mitigate our risk. Instructor: John Marshall
