Amanda whit worth~ April ~ 2026
I create sculptural woodwork that explores the relationship between structure and emotion. Working primarily with layered hardwoods, I approach each piece as both an architectural form and a quiet meditation.
Wood is a living material and it holds history, movement, and memory within its grain. Rather than forcing it into rigid control, I work in dialogue with it, allowing its natural character to inform the final composition. Light, shadow, and negative space play a central role in my process, creating depth and subtle shifts as the viewer moves around the piece.
My work reflects themes of transformation and permanence. How we shape material, and how material shapes us in return. In a fast-moving world, I am committed to craftsmanship, patience, and intentional design.
Each piece is an invitation to slow down, to notice, and to connect.
