Construction at Pybus Market shows changes to the building

The construction at Pybus Market in the month of December has brought many noticeable changes to the historical building. Blodgett Construction, the general contractor, and their sub-contractors, are installing exterior metal walls, main doors, windows and exterior garage doors to the building. Ducts for the heating and air-conditioning system are also being installed, as is the fire suppression system.

Framing for the large maintaintence building, located north of the historic Pybus building, is also visible from Worthen street. This maintenance building will also house the large walk-in cooler, used to store surplus foods to be distributed to local food banks.

The remodel will be complete by he late spring of 2013, in time for the Washington state apple blossom festival.
