Description: What if you could make a beautiful piece of home décor out of things you have lying around your house right now? You can! Come and learn the process from start to finish of how to make your own DIY felt flower valentine wreath from recycled materials. Learn how to create your own plastic yarn by reusing your grocery shopping bags, form a foam wreath frame from old pool noodles, and make flowers out of left over felt and papers. By the end of the class you will be the proud owner of a beautiful piece of décor just in time for Valentine’s day. You will also leave with additional ideas for how to reuse many other items in your home. No crafting experience necessary!
Please bring two plastic grocery bags (of the same color) and a pair of scissors to learn to make your own plastic yarn. All additional materials will be provided.
Age 14 and older. Space is limited to 25 participants. This is a make-and-take class, so there is a $10 fee to register each participant to cover costs. When you come to class you will receive a $5 Pybus buck coin to spend at Pybus (so your out-of-pocket expense is $5 per person.)
Bio: I have been crafting in all honesty since I was a child and could cut & color. I consider myself a mindful crafter, meaning I am always trying to find new and interesting ways to reuse the things I have. I tend to include packaging in my scrapbooks, have made decorative banners out of toilet paper rolls and love to recycle party décor into new items. My greatest passion is to show others that they are creative and can learn to make beautiful things too!
