Art Alley @ Pybus ~ Terry Valdez

Terry Valdez, owner and artist of Terry Valdez Studios, is an award-winning artist and art instructor with over 50 years of experience teaching art to youth.  He has a Master’s degree in Creative Arts from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. With the support of the Wenatchee Art Education Consortium, Terry was instrumental in developing the K-Art curriculum used in public elementary schools throughout the upper and lower Wenatchee valleys. Most recently, Terry created the community “Art Cart” and coordinates this free Summer art program with his daughter Claire.

Please welcome Terry Valdez for a reception at Art Alley @ Pybus on Friday, August 2nd from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  Terry will be displaying original work that details his explorations of personal totems, Reiki sessions, and cosmic interest in space exploration from Voyager 1, and the images of the James Webb Telescope in 2024.  Terry’s work will also pay homage to several musicians, writers, and poets who have inspired and influenced his creative process over the years.  Terry invites the viewer to discover an entry point into his art by taking the time to reflect on the titles, images, and metaphors.
