Mother’s Day “Best Advice” Winners

Pybus Market thanks everyone who entered its First Annual Mother’s Day “Best Advice” Contest. The top 10 entries are:

Shawna Hawkins – Throughout my childhood, every time I asked my Mom to play, she’d say yes. Now as a Mother myself, I asked her, “How did you have all of that time for us, Mom?” and she said: “Look at the time with your children as an invitation, not an interruption.”

Colleen Huber – Select friends who have the same value system as yours. It will minimize the temptations to do something you know is wrong.

Patti Kanegae – Work hard, be honest and treat others as you wish to be treated.

Angie Satterfield – Don’t do anything you don’t want to have to take responsibility for.

Mary Hill – Always do your best, no matter what it is. Everything you do should be the best you can produce.

Eric West – Wipe your feet, wash your hands before you eat and say please and thank you, and you might get invited back again some time.

Jackie Endsley – “If you want flowers, buy them yourself.” Meaning that you are responsible for your own happiness.

Kay McKellar – Keep an open mind in everything you do and opportunities will come to you.

Jenn Brunner – Kiss your little boy’s cheeks as often as you can because one day he’ll wake up and they’ll be scratchy.

Linda Haglund – After I got upset Mom would say, “Well, you have to get glad in the same pants you got mad in because I’m not buying you new pants.”
