I’m an artist and Army Veteran from Gaithersburg, Maryland. In 2008, I joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. By the time I finished my contract, I’d fallen in love with the Northwest and decided to pursue my love for painting at Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland, OR. I got my Bachelors of Fine Art degree in 2015, and have since turned my practice into a business as ‘KLK Fine Arts.’ 

In 2023, I moved from Portland, Oregon to East Wenatchee to be with my wife, and these paintings here represent my explorations since my arrival. I like the challenge of creating more than just a pretty picture, but rather recreating a place that means something, and giving it a chance to be present in my viewer’s mind in a new perspective. I believe really looking close at our surroundings can help one to slow down and better appreciate the present moment.
